A Green Holiday
There are more ways to make this holiday green than just a tree and decorations.
This time of year is all about showing your loved ones how much you care, but keep in mind that you can also show the planet some festive love as well.
From Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day, household waste increases by more than 25%. Wrapping paper and shopping bags alone account for about 4 million tons of trash each year.
So before you haul those garbage bags to the curb, remember that we’re accepting Christmas lights and light strands at no extra charge. Come by and drop them off as well as other items from last night’s Christmas party, like empty wine bottles and cardboard boxes. It’s a little way to say ‘Happy Holidays’ to you and our planet (plus you’ll be put in Santa’s “good” books for next year!).
We are closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day (Stan has to enjoy some nog), but otherwise our doors are open!
