Cardboard

Old corrugated cartons are an excellent source of fiber for recycling. They can be compressed and baled for cost effective transport to anywhere in need of fiber for paper-making. Thus they help developing countries without sustainable wood resources build a paper and packaging industry locally and develop their exports to global markets.
Old corrugated cartons are a bulky, highly recyclable waste. Also, making new cardboard from recycled cardboard takes 25% less energy than using fiber from new wood. Therefore, keeping cardboard out of the waste stream will mean saving, trees, landfill space, wood, and energy.
